Investigation Unit

Delco Defender’s investigation unit helps the defense team identify and acquire evidence and critical information through database and public records research, records and video surveillance requests, and field investigation. Our investigative unit stays current and brings new tools and practices to Delco Defenders with their participation in the National Public Defender Association

Partner for Justice Advocates

In 2022, with the generous support of County Council, Delco Defenders onboarded five non-attorney advocates in collaboration with Partners for Justice. The advocates provide in-depth support to clients with complex needs in order to avoid and/or reduce time in jail while disrupting cycles of poverty that led to contact with the criminal system and mitigating the harms of that contact where possible.
